Banco Bmg expands credit offer in a new digital self-service channel

The Bmg Bank, a reference in payroll loans, has just launched a new digital self-service channel aimed at non-account holders. Through the bank’s application, any eligible person to contract consigned loans can access offers without bureaucracy or the need to open an account. The novelty is part of Bmg’s strategy to expand its proximity to the target audience of credit products, increasing the offer channels and its reach through the digital channel also to areas where there is no physical presence of bank correspondents or help! – the bank’s credit store network with more than 830 units spread across the country.

The target market for assignable products is estimated at about 100 million people, including retirees and INSS pensioners, public and private employees. According to IBGE data, this total will have an increase of approximately 15 million new retirees and pensioners by 2031. Currently, Bmg’s customer base is 10.5 million users.

The new functionality of the application stands out for the possibility of contracting more than one line of credit simultaneously, in addition to various insurance policies. “One of the pillars for 2025 is to expand our presence within the payroll loan beyond our current user base, bringing agility to people who need money in a simple and fast way. Focusing on the customer’s need journey, it is possible to compare offers to contract the one that makes more sense for a particular moment,” says Lauro Leite, Products Director of Bmg Bank.

Digital journey

The channel offers a seamless journey to the user, who can access credit options simply and quickly by providing only the CPF number. In the application, it is possible to contract one or more products such as consigned loan, consigned credit card, consigned benefit credit card, anticipation of the FGTS anniversary withdrawal, and insurance in both products for salaried employees such as the FGTS Life Insurance, and in consigned products like the Lender’s Insurance on the Benefit Card. Eligible are individuals over 18 years old beneficiaries of INSS or FGTS, subject to analysis.

“Bmg is going through a digital transformation moment focusing on customer experience and how technology can be an ally in democratizing access to credit. That’s why we’ve developed a self-service channel, intuitive and secure, where you can take out a loan in a few steps, without needing an account,” says Bruno Capelin, Growth Director of Banco Bmg.

The ease of access is also anchored in a high standard of security, with protection layers such as authenticity seal, data verification, and biometric access.

The self-service channel can be accessed from the initial screen of the Banco Bmg’s application, available for download on the virtual stores for iOS and Android.
