Automation of the Pompéia Distribution Center combines technology, efficiency, and art

Pompéia inaugurated the Automate Project, which automates its Distribution Center located in Camaquã (RS), making the supply to the 90 stores distributed in Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina more accurate.

Started in 2023, the automation involves the implementation of processes that increased productivity in separation by 54%, representing 177 product separations per employee per hour. Another impact of the automation was cost reduction through changes in the purchasing method, updated to the SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) model. With the change, it was possible to achieve a 30% increase in separations for store shipping. The goal is for orders received by the DC to be dispatched within four hours.

For the CEO of the Lins Ferrão Group, Carmen Ferrão, the project delivers not only improved logistics. “We have incorporated all the DNA of engagement with employees, who will have a different space, connecting us to the purpose of clothing the world with pride,” she states.

With the completion of the first phase of the Automate Project, Pompéia’s DC enters a new phase focused on replenishments, which will be carried out daily and with individual products, enabling a more accurate stock within the Distribution Center.

First DC with artwork

In addition to the inauguration of the new automation system, which will triple productivity in less time, reaffirming the commitment to innovation, efficiency, and satisfaction, the major differentiator of the new DC is the artwork signed by the renowned artist Jotape, enriching the environment with a 21m² mural. Entitled “Looking to the Future,” the piece portrays the diversity, scope, and visionary spirit of the Lins Ferrão Group, which includes Pompéia and Gang.

“The mural represents who we are: the freedom of youth through Gang and tradition and progress through Pompéia!” highlighted Carmen Ferrão, CEO of Grupo Lins Ferrão.
