Auren Energia recently launched an innovative e-commerce platform dedicated to the sale of carbon credits. This initiative aims to serve a wide range of clients, including individuals, companies, and event organizers looking to offset their carbon emissions through renewable energy and reforestation projects.
The platform offers an intuitive user experience, allowing customers to choose the type of carbon credit that best suits their needs. Additionally, the site provides detailed information on the technical specifications of each project, featuring ventures such as Ventos do Araripe III, Ventos do Piauí I, and Legado Verde do Cerrado. All of these projects are certified by Verra, a renowned international organization for validating voluntary carbon offsets.
After completing a purchase, customers receive a digital certificate confirming the offset of the credits purchased, ensuring transparency and reliability in the process.
This new platform is part of a broader strategy by Auren Energia to expand its presence in the carbon credit market. In 2023, the company has already demonstrated significant results in this sector, achieving a revenue of R$ 25 million and trading 1.66 million carbon credits in the global market.
Looking ahead, Auren Energia has set an ambitious goal: to increase the volume of credits traded to 8 million by 2030. This projection reflects the company’s commitment to sustainability and its strategic positioning in a rapidly growing market.
