A new era in Mundial Logistics: My first steps as CEO and the inauguration of the new CD and headquarters of the company

Accepting Fernando Passos' invitation to take on the position of CEO of Mundial Logistics is a significant milestone that begins a new phase both in my career and in the company's trajectory, representing the beginning of a period of growth and innovation. With the responsibility of leading this company that recently completed 25 years with a rich history and a promising future, I share with you the strategies and visions that will guide our next steps, with special emphasis on the soon opening of our new Distribution Center and the headquarters of Mundial. This expansion project will feature the implementation of artificial intelligence and automation of the operations of the new CD. It is a venture that, by itself, says a lot about our new market positioning.

The transition from command to a CEO and the constitution of a Board of Directors are decisions that reflect the evolution of our corporate governance. Fernando Passos, founder of Mundial, assumes as chairman of the board of directors. Fernando's experience and legacy are invaluable, and it is with great honor and immense respect that I will continue his work, with the mission of taking Mundial Logistics to new transformative achievements.

We will show to the industries we serve that, more than logistics operators, we can act as real business agents for them, offering intelligent solutions for the value chain of our customers, after all, we have very clear our purpose that is “Make Brands Sell More”.

The new Distribution Center and new headquarters of Mundial Logistics: A milestone in the sector

Certainly one of the first great moments of my management will be the inauguration of the new CD and the company's own headquarters, a project where we invest 30 million reais only in infrastructure, and which represents a significant advance in our operational and technological capacity. Strategically located near the Guarulhos Airport, less than 2km from the Presidente Dutra and Ayrton Senna highways, the CD has 40,000 m² for storage and is part of a logistics complex of 147,000 m² of which the group is a partner. With this expansion, we will increase our capacity to 80,0000000 positions for efficient pallets for the Guar and only to the market was designed to meet the demands of the health sectors.

With 45 thousand pallet positions and the incorporation of advanced technologies such as state-of-the-art control tower and automation and artificial intelligence (AI) systems, the new CD not only improves our operational efficiency, but also ensures the delivery of the highest quality services. This investment extends our operating capacity and positions us at the forefront of logistics solutions for sectors regulated by health agencies, including medicines, cosmetics, food and beverages.

The simultaneous inauguration of the new headquarters and the new CD is just the beginning of a promising journey to challenge the status quo of Brazilian logistics and make our customers sell more.It is important to highlight that, not by chance, the architectural design of the new headquarters is inspired by the world of technology startups and not in traditional logistics. My vision for the World Cup is to achieve the “Encrow of the customers” through three main pillars:

  1. Valuing our people

Empowered people, with a collaborative spirit and a sense of common purpose ensure the team's interaction, which is essential for the internal efficiency of the processes.

Many companies claim that people are the most important asset, but in practice do not guarantee the psychological safety climate necessary for innovation and high performance. They end up repeating cliches. In my opinion, when it comes to logistics services, it is to have people who have a “passion for serving” and who are indignant about the bad service, reacting to recover it and timely correcting the problems that will inevitably occur.

  1. Excellence of operational processes:

Excellence has been a word repeated in power points and little reached in real life.We know the great challenge that is to put it into practice in the service industry, considering the level of social inequality and functional illiteracy in Brazil. The fundamental is to be careful with the details in each of the main ingredients capable of bringing this word to life: people, processes and technology.

  1. Technological transformation:

The market for Brazilian logistics operators is large and pulverized, according to ILOS/ABOL studies. We have enormous potential for the application of new technologies in the offer of intelligent services for optimization and digitization of the Supply Chain. Technologies such as conversational AIs, automation, robots, IoT, blockchain, for example, are still underused and this scenario tends to change rapidly from now on. My role will be to ensure that the World Cup will act as an agent of this change of level.

By developing each pillar above within a solid ESG agenda, we will ensure the sustainability of the accelerated growth that is to come.
