The Amazon Brazil announced another stage in the expansion of its FBA – Amazon Logistics program. The distribution center in Nova Santa Rita (RS), which has been operating the logistics program since 2024, will now also serve sellers from the states of Santa Catarina and Paraná starting on August 11. With this expansion, partner sellers from these states will be able to send their products directly to the unit and have their logistics fully operated by the company, from storage to after-sales, ensuring even more convenience and speed in deliveries throughout the country.
This expansion represents a significant advancement in Amazon’s logistics strategy, which, since 2010, has already exceeded over R$ 888 million in investments in Rio Grande do Sul, as well as another R$ 90 million in Paraná and R$ 13 million in the state of Santa Catarina. With the program’s expansion, Amazon allows these sellers to operate with their own local CNPJs.
With the elimination of the requirement to establish a branch in São Paulo, the seller’s experience when joining the program becomes more simplified and, for consumers across the country, the expansion means access to a greater variety of products with free shipping, faster deliveries due to regionalized distribution, and an enhanced shopping experience.
This expansion is the result of negotiations with the state government of Rio Grande do Sul and was accelerated by the efforts of the local technology team of Amazon Brazil, which reduced technological efforts for launch by 95%. The program will be available until the end of 2025 in Distribution Centers in Minas Gerais, Distrito Federal, Rio de Janeiro, Pernambuco, and Ceará.
How to participate
To participate in Amazon’s FBA – Logistics program, the seller must have an active CNPJ in eligible states and fit into the corresponding tax regime (Regular Regime or Simples Nacional, depending on the state), as well as an active Amazon account. The process is simplified into three steps: 1) List the products on FBA and set up the Amazon Invoicer; 2) Create a shipment and prepare the products; 3) Await Amazon’s collection or ship these products.
