Using the same tool applied to companies can map and plan marketing beyond making human resource management more efficient. Known as Scrum, the agile methodology helps in productivity and project organization with multidisciplinary teams, working on the vision and goal of the organization in an integral way, with all employees interconnected to that particular area. Jéssica Fahl Ribeiro, graduated in marketing and advertising, specialist in strategic management, and partner Guilherme Silva, graduated in administration and specialist in human resources, both from Forward, apply this type of methodology in companies where they provide consultancy.
“Scrum is an agile methodology that greatly helps in productivity and organization of projects with multidisciplinary teams, that is, we can work the entire company towards its main objective, its vision,” emphasizes Jéssica. According to her, in this way, it is possible to think about issues such as promoting a new product, reaching new markets, positioning a brand with a competitive differential, as well as helping to make a company that “does not exist,” “exist.” “All of these objectives we bring within Scrum and we set up a plan in a way that is executable,” she says.
Jéssica explains that this type of methodological application differs from traditional consultancies because it takes into account the reality of the entrepreneur. “The methodology we use is collaborative. We can include everyone from the operational staff, the manager, and the owner to create the planning, the action plan, and organize the entire company to achieve the set goals and objectives. We do this with Scrum, utilizing tools for daily meetings, prioritization, and visual management,” points out the specialist. “In this participatory method, the entrepreneur, in addition to mapping and planning, will also learn about their own company and will practically learn about marketing, business, administration, strategy, and innovation fundamentals.”
When necessary, it is possible to apply this methodology in a hybrid way. “Using Scrum doesn’t have to be in person. There are tools like Trello, among other project management software that allow this management in hybrid, remote, and in-person work. What we need to do is present the information in a visible way and follow up with the team,” advises Jéssica.
HR
Regarding a company’s human resources, Guilherme Silva notes that agile methodologies like Scrum can make HR management much more efficient, collaborative, and adaptable. ‘Whether it’s for recruitment projects, onboarding new employees, or talent development, we can define short cycles for delivering value, projects, or tasks. ‘The main objective is for the facilitator to act as a business partner, transforming the HR area into a strategic point for the organization. The company can generate more revenue and grow sustainably, but that will be a consequence of a team that is engaged, committed, and aligned with the organizational strategy,’ emphasizes the specialist.
