The company Acro Cabos de Aço, specialized in lifting, mooring, and load handling equipment, will inaugurate a new warehouse in the city of Curitiba (PR), more than tripling its logistic capacity for the Southern region of the country. The increase in space will be 250%, with the warehouse occupying a total area of 1,870m², with an initial 800m² built and a future extension for another 400m² built, totaling 1,200m² at the end of the project. The goal is to expand operations in the region and enhance ready-delivery services.
The new location will also house the administrative area of the unit, and the move is scheduled to take place in April. The new space is located in the neighborhood of Boqueirão, in the southern part of the city, a neighboring district to Vila Hauer, where the old warehouse was located.
“We chose to remain in the same region of the city due to its easy access area, which contributes to the efficiency of the logistic operation as a whole,” explains Rafael Simon, CEO Partner of Acro Cabos. “Curitiba is already an important logistic hub for the Southern region, connected by major highways, with well-developed infrastructure and close proximity to other commercial and industrial centers, including our headquarters in São Paulo. This facilitates product distribution and transportation, optimizing costs and delivery times.”
According to the executive, this is the first phase of investment in the Curitiba unit. The plan is to implement a productive area by 2026, in addition to storage, expanding Acro Cabos’ activities as part of the expansion strategy, also creating new job opportunities.
“We will be 100% operational from April this year, but we will continue to make adjustments to the space to improve the well-being of our employees. Next, we want to start our production activities on site,” says Simon. “These actions aim to strengthen our position in this region, with optimized logistics, leaner costs, and even higher quality service.”
Continuous Expansion
The investments of Acro Cabos in the Curitiba unit are part of a series of actions that the company has been taking over the past few years to expand its operations. In addition to the South region, the company continues to explore opportunities in the offshore segment, a segment that it began to serve more prominently in 2024, when it started its operation in Macaé (RJ).
“We seek to grow sustainably and strategically. The new location in Curitiba is a significant milestone in this journey, as it represents a significant expansion of storage capacity at this unit, which brings improvements in the product offering for the region, reduces our logistical costs, and enhances our position in the market, where demand is rising.”
