In the rhythm of Carnival, Magalu announces a series of novelties related to the 2025 revelry. The first one is the start of sales of abadás for the 6 days of singer Bell Marques’ blocos in Salvador through the company’s app. This is the first time a large retail company sells this category of products – through Central do Carnaval, one of the main stores specialized in selling abadás of the Bahian Carnival – on its marketplace. In addition to sponsoring the singer’s blocos in Bahia, the brand will also be at Camarote Bar Brahma in São Paulo.
“Carnival is one of the most beloved parties in Brazil, and being present at the revelry reinforces our position as a 100% Brazilian brand. We are talking about one of the most emblematic moments of Brazilian culture, and being in Salvador and São Paulo in such a significant way demonstrates our commitment to connect Magalu with the main happy moments of our customers,” says Bernardo Leão, marketing director at Magalu. “And at Magalu, the customer finds everything they need to enjoy Carnival. From abadás to pieces to put together the complete look.”
Another novelty is the launch of a special Carnival section in the app, a space where customers can find everything from clothes, makeup, self-care products, sneakers, travel bags, a myriad of product options and brands for all styles, with discounts of up to 60% and free shipping. With this initiative, Magalu reinforces its positioning as a culturally relevant brand and establishes its presence in Brazil’s largest popular party. The campaign for this year’s carnival has the theme “Everything to enjoy the revelry, available at Magalu”. The goal is to highlight the variety of products available on the platform, with emphasis on beauty and perfume categories, fashion, sports, and the marketplace.
To enhance the experience, Lu, the company’s digital influencer, will be present during the six days of the party alongside other influencers and will cover all the revelry on Magalu’s social media.
Benefits for the carnival shirts
Magalu app customers will have special conditions to purchase shirts for the Bloco da Quinta (parades on 02/27), the Bloco Vumbora (parades on 02/28 and 03/01), and the Bloco Camaleão (parades on 03/02, 03/03, and 03/04). Sales are already open, and prices range from 940 reais to 1,990 reais. The company’s customers can pay in up to 10 interest-free installments on the card, unlike specialized sites, which offer only six interest-free installments.
Bell Marques, an icon of the Bahian Carnival for over 40 years, draws crowds along the Barra-Ondina circuit. The singer gathers about 1 million revelers per day among block associates, the general public, and viewers from the boxes. To celebrate this partnership, the artist will record exclusive videos to communicate the news.
