The PagBank announced the launch of Minizinha Voice, a device that promises to inaugurate the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the Brazilian payment industry. The novelty stands out for being operated entirely by voice commands, functioning as a virtual assistant for the seller.
Unlike traditional rectangular terminals, the new model has a round, compact and lightweight design, designed to be used with a cord around the neck. The goal is to offer total mobility, allowing the entrepreneur to keep his hands free to handle products while charging.
How it works
Minizinha Voz operates connected to the seller's smartphone through the application PagSales. When using the activation command “Hello, PagBank” or toggle the side button, the AI kicks in.
In addition to processing payments via NFC (approximation) and Tap On (direct payment on mobile), the wizard performs management tasks such as:
- Perform mathematical calculations;
- Consult sales history;
- Monitor stocks;
- Provide strategic business data in real time.
A technical differential is that the operation of the machine does not require the seller's mobile phone to have NFC technology, democratizing access for those who have simpler smartphones.
Focus on productivity and inclusion
According to Charles Mauad, CEO of PagBank, the launch responds to the need for agility in retail. “By bringing artificial intelligence to the point of sale, we take an important leap in simplifying the payment journey.It is innovation applied to what matters: productivity, fluidity and customer experience”, says the executive.
The voice feature also brings a significant gain in accessibility & security. The terminal reproduces the transaction amount in audio, which facilitates the use by visually impaired people and prevents scams or typing errors at the time of billing. The voucher can be sent digitally via SMS or email.
Price & Availability
PagBank has adopted an aggressive pricing strategy for the entry of the product into the market.Minizinha Voz will be marketed by R$ 11.50, no charge for rent.
The launch will take place in two phases:
- February: Available to a selected group of customers.
- April: Official launch for the entire market.
The initiative reinforces the portfolio of the digital bank, which seeks to consolidate its presence both in the physical means of payment and in the complete financial management of its customers.
