Shopee initiative makes Maracanã reach 130 decibels in tribute to Flamengo's 130th anniversary

During the match between Flamengo and Santos this Sunday (9th), at Maracanã, for the Brazilian Championship Serie A, the red-and-black supporters' chanting reached 130 decibels, alluding to the club's 130th anniversary, in a campaign promoted by Shopee.

The red-and-black supporters' volume was measured by sound sensor devices installed in the stands and audited by ZIEL ENGENHARIA, a company specialized in acoustic and environmental measurements. The equipment recorded, in real time, the passion and spirit of the supporters in the stands.

Upon reaching the target, attending supporters unlocked a R$ 50 coupon displayed on the stadium screens, to be used for purchases on Shopee. The initiative turned Maracanã into a true celebration stage and reinforced the partnership between Shopee and Flamengo.

“This initiative solidifies another step in our partnership with Flamengo and reinforces Shopee's commitment to creating unique experiences for red-and-black supporters and the Brazilian public. The campaign demonstrated how we can unite technology, emotion, and real benefits, transforming Maracanã into a celebration stage,” states Felipe Piringer, Shopee's Marketing Head.

Influential supporters who engage the fanbase
