Magis5, a leading integration and automation hub in Brazilian e-commerce, connects sellers to over 30 platforms. In a strategic move to optimize its clients' operations, it announces the launch of the unified label, an innovative feature for the integration between Shopee and Magis5. This advancement replaces the dual-label system, promoting agility and reducing operational costs for sellers.
Until now, issuing separate shipping labels and invoice labels created greater complexity, increasing logistical costs for sellers. Now, with the unified label, consolidating all product information into a single document not only drastically simplifies the process but also generates a 50% savings in resources for businesses.
The Magis5 team is currently gathering data to quantify the financial impact of this new feature. According to the company's internal studies, in large-scale operations, the estimated savings could exceed R$ 12,000 per month, solely from label costs.
“We have attentively listened to our clients” demands and developed this solution to facilitate sellers' routines, especially those operating on Shopee. We are optimistic about soon presenting concrete numbers that prove the generated savings," states Claudio Dias, CEO of Magis5.
The time to generate a label on Shopee varies depending on the order type:
- For ready-stock orders (products without customization), the label must be printed and the product shipped within 1 business day after payment confirmation, considering that orders confirmed by 1:00 PM have this deadline for shipment on the same day or the next.
- For pre-order items (customized products), the label should only be generated when the product is ready or close to the shipping date, within the posting deadline which can range from 3 to 15 business days.
Dias illustrates the productivity gain: “Considering an operation that ships 2,500 orders per month, using the traditional dual-label system would require 5,000 labels, corresponding to approximately 25 rolls of labels monthly. With the new functionality, the seller would use only the number of labels corresponding to the number of orders, i.e., 2,500 labels for 2,500 orders.”.
This reduction represents significant savings in label costs, as it eliminates the waste generated by printing duplicate labels for each order. Beyond the direct financial impact, this optimization contributes to a more sustainable and efficient operation, reducing material consumption and simplifying the logistical process.
By implementing this functionality, e-commerce companies can reduce label costs by up to 50%, representing significant savings in operational expenses and a substantial gain in logistical efficiency. Currently, Magis5 is already developing this solution to be applied to other marketplaces.
“We remain committed to offering innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and contribute to the growth of e-commerce in Brazil. Saving time and investing in dynamic solutions is fundamental for success in the sellers” market," concludes Dias.
