Samsung is the most searched electronics brand by Brazilians, according to a survey conducted by Rank Certo, a digital marketing agency specializing in link building, in partnership with Publiup agency. The study analyzed the average monthly search volumes on the Ahrefs platform, used to measure consumer interest and purchase intent in the country.
The South Korean giant recorded 1.6 million monthly searches, surpassing Apple's 1.2 million and Xiaomi's 750,000. Motorola and Dell round out the top five ranking, with 680,000 and 420,000 searches respectively. For Felipe Cardoso, founder of rank Right Agency, responsible for the research, the idea is to provide a reading of the market.
“This analysis is especially relevant in October, the month preceding Black Friday, which marks the beginning of the period of highest competition in electronic retail,” he says.
Historic rivalry and the rise of Xiaomi
The dispute between Samsung and Apple has lasted for more than a decade and is now also reflected in online searches. Since the launch of the iPhone in 2007 and the popularization of the Galaxy line, the competition between the two companies has been setting the pace for innovation in the smartphone market.
In Brazil, Samsung stands out for offering a variety of models and price ranges, reaching different audiences. Apple, in turn, maintains customer loyalty and a premium image sustained by its integrated ecosystem of products and services such as iCloud, Apple Watch, and MacBook.
Xiaomi, in third place, has established itself as an attractive alternative by combining good performance and affordable prices. The Chinese brand has been expanding its fan base in the country, especially among young people who value cost-effectiveness and modern design.
