Shopee Map: automotive items stand out in most Brazilian states

To understand consumer preferences and habits, Shopee, a marketplace connecting sellers and consumers, released the second edition of the Shopee Map 2025, revealing insights about the categories and best-selling items in each state of the country. The survey considers products with orders above the national average between April and September 2025.
 

Automotive maintenance at one click

The national highlight this semester was the Auto & Motorcycle, category, which debuted on Shopee in 2024 and has already become a consumer favorite, exceeding average sales in nine Brazilian states. The platform is consolidating itself as a space for purchasing auto parts, both for mechanics and automotive enthusiasts. The region of greatest relevance for the category was the North East once again, where six states recorded Auto & Motorcycle items as the best-selling. Highlights include exhausts, braking systems, wheels, and air conditioning. Meanwhile, in the Southeast, Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais also consume more of this category, with tire kits leading sales.
 

The growth of the Auto & Motorcycle category was driven by the entry of major industry brands into the “Official Stores” section, such as Chevrolet, Renault, and PneuStore, which add their extensive portfolio to the marketplace, reinforcing Shopee's commitment to offering a diversified ecosystem.

Lifestyle: well-being and leisure in choices

The Lifestyle category gained more relevance and became the second best-selling, standing out in seven states, with the strongest presence in the Midwest. In the region, where Technology and Fashion products previously predominated, outdoor activity items now prevail: camping tents in Goiás, fishing rods in Mato Grosso, and beach tennis rackets in Mato Grosso do Sul. The North region followed the same trend, with diving flashlights in Rondônia and four-person tents in Tocantins among the best-selling items, reflecting choices linked to well-being, leisure, and quality of life.

In South, in the states of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, items from the pet world dominated, with a focus on cats, as clumping cat litter led sales in both states.

From drones to Smart TVs: technology remains strong

The Technology category remains among Brazilians' favorites, but with less reach than in the last survey. While in the first Shopee Map of the year technology items led in thirteen states, in this survey they appear in six. The North remains the main driver, with four of the seven states highlighting the category. Choices range from drones in Acre and Roraima, to kits with 2 communicator radios in Amazonas and portable speakers in Pará.

Other states that consumed more technology products were Alagoas, with speakers, and Smart TVs leading sales in Rio de Janeiro. The result shows the versatility of technology products on the platform, catering to everything from entertainment to items that facilitate daily routines.

Trends and seasons emerge in the Fashion category

Fashion choices stand out in four states, each with its own style and climate characteristics. In Paraná, socks were the best-selling item; in São Paulo, the bomber jacket accompanied the arrival of cold weather, becoming the best-selling item. In Bahia, one of the country's major fashion hubs, long dresses gained prominence. Meanwhile, in the Federal District, bikinis were the preferred choice. In Rio Grande do Norte, the fashion world stood out with sandals as the best-selling item.
