Magalu has just launched the selection process for Brazil's first Artificial Intelligence trainee program, aimed at professionals from exact science courses. This initiative is directly related to the company's new strategic cycle – starting in 2026 – and aims to develop talents with high technical and analytical capabilities, as well as strategic vision in data and AI, preparing them to create innovative solutions and apply technology to business. Professionals who graduated between December 2022 and December 2025 in exact science courses, not necessarily technology-related, are eligible to apply.
With a monthly remuneration of R$9,600 plus benefits, the trainees will work in business areas that use artificial intelligence to enhance processes and create new solutions. Applications will be submitted exclusively through the program's official WhatsApp channel, with the conversation flow guided by Lu, Magalu's digital influencer, via an AI application. Once registered, candidates will proceed through the following stages – practical tests and interviews – on other platforms, but still with interactions via WhatsApp. The final stage will be in-person. Pre-selected candidates will be interviewed by Frederico Trajano, the company's CEO, and selected candidates are expected to be notified by the end of December. To apply or learn more about the process, simply send a "hi" to Lu on WhatsApp at (11) 97827-4804.
"We have always been innovative and disruptive. This selection process for new trainees could not be any different," says Trajano. "We face the challenge of implementing a cycle driven by the application of artificial intelligence and need to attract the best talents in the field to support us in executing this strategy."
"More than attracting artificial intelligence experts, we want each trainee to feel challenged to question the obvious and propose innovative solutions for our business areas," says Patricia Pugas, Executive Director of People Management. "The technology itself is available to everyone. What will truly make a difference is how these tools will transform, for the better, the daily operations of the company and all those impacted by it."
The selection process will value knowledge in programming languages such as Python and SQL, cloud tools (AWS, GCP, Azure), AI/ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch), and data analysis solutions. However, being an expert is not a mandatory requirement, as the professionals will work in the company's business areas, and the program will offer specific training tracks. Participants will have access to courses, mentorships, and workshops conducted by Magalu professionals and external experts.
Throughout the program, there will be technical and career guidance, with opportunities for everyone to propose their own projects. The best ideas may be tested and implemented. Trainees will work with machine learning, generative AI, and Magalu tools to develop practical solutions. They will be assigned to the company's headquarters in São Paulo or to strategic areas in a hybrid model. Benefits include health insurance, meal/food vouchers, profit-sharing, relocation assistance (for those outside São Paulo), and language courses.
