In a country where, even with improving indicators, approximately 6.3 million people are still seeking employment, technological initiatives demonstrate their potential to serve as the bridge between positive data and tangible life changes. For many Brazilians, finding employment through conventional means remains a slow, frustrating, and inefficient process. Candidates face long queues, paperwork, outdated information, and often receive no feedback on the opportunities they apply for. On the other hand, public and private companies also waste time and resources on poorly targeted selection processes with ahigh dropout rate or mismatch. This disconnection between job seekers and employers has been a major obstacle to reducing unemployment in a structured and sustainable manner.
The Emprega 360 platform digitized the former SINE (National Employment System) model, which previously operated analogously with job postings on physical bulletin boards. The result has been a revolution in access to the regional labor market, with plans already underway for national expansion. It is not enough for unemployment to merely decline on IBGE charts. For data to translate into real-life changes for people, on-the-ground action is necessary. This is what Emprega 360 delivers: efficiency, engagement, and results, whether for municipal governments or the private sector,” states Gabriel Machado Lopes, partner at Equity Group. Using logic similar to that of dating apps, the tool connects companies and candidates based on data and cross-referenced profiles. The technology streamlines the process, reduces hiring time, and exponentially increases effectiveness, eliminating reliance on paper posters or long queues at service centers.
The results achieved in the city of Mariana, Minas Gerais, since adopting Emprega 360 are impressive and have attracted the attention of governments and companies across the country. In just two years, the city increased its public job placement rate from 23% to 58%,representing a growth of 152%.The job offer-to-hiring conversion rate also jumped from 20% to over 65%,establishing a new efficiency in the local employment process. During this period, 14,000 hires were made through the platform, which also connected over 24,200 candidates to real job opportunities. In total, more than 550 companies joined the digital system, which has exceeded 2.8 million job views, significantly expanding reach and engagement. Additionally, the time between job posting and actual hiring was drastically reduced, promoting a much more agile and effective dynamic for all involved parties.
Equity Group’s goal is to bring Emprega 360 to other municipalities, states, and private companies, transforming the labor intermediation model into a fairer, faster, and more efficient system. With the platform, candidates gain visibility and access, while companies reduce hiring time and costs—a two-way street with measurable social impact.
