New Brazilian AI promises to cut 15% of energy expenditure in retail

Sometimes, the waste of energy happens without anyone noticing. A cold Chamber door that was ajar, an air conditioner that continues to work even when everyone has left work, a light on where it did not need to be or a simple wrong setpoint in a controller. It may seem little, but when we talk about supermarkets and large retailers, these “small slips”.In addition to the cost of energy, these habits reduce the useful life of equipment, which end up working more than they should 2 which means more maintenance, more exchanges and more loss.

In this context, NEO Estech, a data intelligence platform applied to equipment management and monitoring, announces the launch of NEO Lume, an artificial intelligence for data analysis and technical support, which works 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In practice, the technology performs in an automated way the monitoring of refrigeration, air conditioning, energy and water consumption, power generator and fire prevention systems, acting in a predictive and proactive manner.

Among other actions, AI will be able to interpret the data of the monitored sensors, facilitating decision making. While NEO Estech automatically monitors equipment and opens calls in case of anomalies, NEO Lume allows the user to interact directly with this information through natural language. It will be possible, for example, to ask: “What equipment have open calls for more than three days?”“What equipment spends more time with the door open?”, report bugs or request changes to system scales and settings during the conversation. AI understands context, identifies the source installation, and makes interpreting data much more accessible and practical.

According to NEO Estech CEO Sami Diba, the technology is the direct result of more than five years of operation and obtaining data, also collected with its own technology. The company already operates in large networks such as Carrefour, Atacadao, Savegnago, Tauste and Trust. This history has allowed the development of a trained model based on real cases, technical documents, manuals and thousands of human interactions accumulated over time.

“We know that retail operates in detail &, often, it is precisely these details that go unnoticed. It was based on them that we created Lume. He understands the context, learns from day to day and returns practical intelligence to the customer. It anticipates the problems, avoids waste and contributes directly to the financial health of the business. Creating Lume was a strategic decision: not only for the gain in efficiency, but because scaling quality technical service, with this scope, would be impossible only with people”, says Sami Diba, CEO of NEO Estech.

AI will be able to serve in five languages Portuguese, English, Spanish, French and Italian & other company solutions. According to the CEO, the goal is to assist in the startup's internationalization strategy, which is already present in six countries.
