After SP, 99Food plans to expand to 100 cities in the coming months

99Food plans to expand its operation to at least 100 cities in the coming months. The platform, which already operates in Goiania and will debut in the state capital in August, offers commission and monthly exemption for 24 months to restaurants, more affordable prices to consumers and minimum gains of R$250 for delivery partners who make 20 trips (5 of food delivery).

“We look forward to arriving in Sao Paulo in early August. We will take the same model that already operates in Goiania to offer more affordable food to Paulista consumers and fairer earning opportunities for restaurants and” delivery, says Simeng Wang, general director of 99 in Brazil.

The expansion of the new delivery model, planned by 99Food until the middle of next year, aims to bring better conditions to the delivery ecosystem of the whole country. In market practices, in an order of R$100, R$26,20 reais are paid with 12% commission + 11% delivery rate + 3,2% payment transaction. Thus, in an order of R$100 the merchant gets R$73,80

At 99Food, the situation is different. As the merchant will not pay commission or fee, the cost in the case of an order of R$100 is R$7.70, being 4.5% delivery fee + 3.2% payment transaction. Therefore, in an order of R$100 the merchant gets R$92.30 and has the possibility to reduce the price of the food he sells.

PARTNERSHIP

Earlier this month, 99 entered into a partnership with the Brazilian Association of Bars and Restaurants (Abrasel), reinforcing its commitment to the development of the delivery sector to build a fairer, more competitive and balanced business environment.

“Nos joined Abrasel with the aim of facilitating entrepreneurship in the food sector, promoting a more balanced environment and sustainable long-term practices”, explains Wang.

In the partnership with Abrasel, 99Food will develop initiatives aimed at strengthening the ecosystem with actions to train entrepreneurs and employees in the sector, production of studies and market research, as well as initiatives that promote more competitiveness, transparency and sustainability for bars, restaurants and deliverymen throughout the country.
