iFood, the Brazilian technology company that is a reference in delivery, and Decolar, the leading travel technology company in Latin America, are working together to bring even more benefits to consumers and provide a new level of convenience and practicality for Brazilians. The first initiative is the offer of up to 25% off accommodation for subscribers to iFood's loyalty program, 'Clube iFood'. The two companies are studying other ways to simplify and improve the user experience.
"We are very excited about the new opportunities that the connection with Decolar will bring to consumers," says Henrique Iwamoto, iFood's Chief Investment and Partnerships Officer. "We've already transformed the way people order food, now we're going to change the logic of offering convenience and services in general. And that means more satisfied users with a connected and practical experience, which consequently results in more orders for partners and greater income generation for couriers. All of this driven by the strength of our network of solutions, fueled by intense consumer traffic," he explains.
"This partnership with iFood is another step in our mission to revolutionize the way people travel, combining technology and benefits to create an experience that is even more connected to people's routines," he says. Max Gonzalez Costa, executive director of the B2C Business Division in Brazil at Take off. "We want to make travel more accessible, intelligent and integrated into everyday life, enriching our customers' lives with simple solutions and remarkable experiences."
Last week, Decolar became part of the Prosus group, a global technology company, with the conclusion of the acquisition process. iFood is also part of the group.
iFood Club
Currently, the Club, with 13 million subscribers, is responsible for 40% of the orders placed on the platform - a key lever for increasing consumption.
"We've been working to consolidate Clube as the most robust loyalty program in the country. iFood offers subscribers an increasingly complete experience, with benefits both inside and outside the app. The partnership with Decolar expands this value proposition and reinforces iFood's role as a hub for practical and advantageous solutions for consumers", says Bruno Henriques, iFood's Marketplace COO (Chief Operating Officer).
The program, which began with the aim of increasing orders in restaurants, began operating six months ago for the Market and Pharmacy categories. In the case of Pharmacy, for example, sales grew by more than 40% with the Club's entry.
How the iFood Club works
With a monthly plan of just R$12.90, the Club offers various advantages such as 5 coupons worth up to R$10, valid at all restaurants, discounts of up to 50% off and other exclusive coupons every day. It also offers free delivery to pharmacies and markets, expanding the possibilities for everyday savings. The program also offers experiences that go beyond the app, such as the new discounts with Decolar. New users can try the Club for free for the first 30 days.
