Exploring the "New Oil," Startup Creates Courses to Enhance Data Culture Within Companies

According to Harvard Business Review, data-driven companies are 2.6 times more likely to exceed their goals and have 3 times higher chances of achieving better efficiency rates. It is no wonder that data has become the "new oil," requiring companies to develop the ability to interpret and handle information accurately. To contribute to this process, Rox School, the training division of Rox Partner, a leading consultancy in data and cybersecurity, recorded a 447% growth in direct sales of training courses in 2024, along with a 34% increase in indirect sales.

This growth is attributed to the transition in training delivery models, which shifted to a digital platform. The scalable model replaced the synchronous format of live sessions, allowing companies to access training asynchronously at their convenience. Among the trainings available on the platform are courses in Analytics and Cloud Computing.

To maintain this accelerated pace until the end of the year, the company plans to launch new training programs and establish strategic partnerships to expand its market presence, especially in the B2C model. According to Mathias Brem, founding partner and CDO of Rox Partner, the core objective of the brand's educational division is to promote a true data culture, where all levels and sectors can leverage information to optimize workflow.

"Data skills are no longer a concern limited to IT professionals but extend to all areas of companies. Organizations that promote a data-driven culture improve their operational efficiency and tend to make more assertive strategic decisions based on concrete data," the executive elaborates.

Personalization and Active Learning

Established in 2022, Rox School has been dedicated to transforming how companies organize and manage their data. To achieve this, its training programs, ranging from Data Literacy to advanced cybersecurity implementation, are designed based on an active learning methodology. This approach stands out by involving participants in technical activities from the very beginning, rather than merely presenting theories.

Thus, the courses consist of practical tasks and solving challenges based on real-world problems, facilitating knowledge retention and immediate application in the workplace. "This practical approach, complementing the theoretical content, contrasts with more traditional methods, which are often passive and focused solely on information transfer," explains the executive.

Another strategic differentiator lies in the personalization of training for different fields of operation. For example, for the healthcare sector, the school offers courses focused on analyzing volumes of clinical data and regulatory compliance. For manufacturing professionals, the training focus is directed toward predictive analytics for equipment maintenance and supply chain optimization. "These adaptations ensure that the learnings are relevant and directly applicable to the reality of each field," adds Brem.

Rox School also provides continuous post-training support, helping partners implement the acquired knowledge and overcome initial barriers. Additionally, the brand conducts periodic evaluations with companies to monitor metrics and adjust programs. "The success of adopting a data culture can be measured through indicators such as increased usage of analytical tools, the frequency of data-driven decisions, and the number of projects conducted with a data-driven approach," concludes the CDO of Rox Partner.
