This Saturday (19) is celebrated in Brazil and worldwide the IT Professional Day. They are the ones who have always been ahead in the adoption of new technologies within companies, and with AI is no different.
According to one freshworks Study89%, a leading company in enterprise software development, of IT professionals worldwide use AI at least once a month at work, which makes IT the department that most uses AI in the corporate environment.For comparison, Marketing is the second department that most uses technology (86%).
Check out some other statistics from Freshworks research:
- Writing just got easier. Data analysis (59%) and content creation (56%) are the two main tasks performed by IT professionals with the aid of AI.
- Differential skill. 45% of the world's workers say that almost all new positions seek some level of AI experience (57%).
- The more AI, the more productivity. IT departments estimate that, on average, they could save 4 hours and 55 minutes - an hour more than any other department - 'OD in a typical workweek using AI. This equates to 31 working days, in an 8-hour workday.
- For 2 in 3 IT professionals (65%) AI will never be able to completely replace human workers, but they understand that adopting AI will mean that certain people will have immense job growth while others will fall behind.
- Anyone warn? 47% of IT professionals claim that other workers in their organizations use AI in their day-to-day work, but still do not realize that they are using it.
