In the business world, these ties turn into inspiring stories of family entrepreneurship, where the passing of knowledge, values and worldview intertwines with the determination to build something lasting and meaningful.
The history of Patroni, one of the largest food chains in the country, exemplifies how the bond between father and son can be channeled into genuine entrepreneurship. Rubens Augusto Junior, founder of the brand, opened the company to give the patriarch who developed depression after losing his job.
This gesture saved his father, but also laid the foundations of a business that today has 248 units in Brazil, 105 physical and 145 operating via platform of deliveryover the decades, they have faced many challenges together, but their entrepreneurial spirit and determination to innovate are responsible for keeping Patroni growing steadily. The story of Rubens Junior and his father figure is an inspiring account of how family love and hard work can create lasting legacies in the business world.
Following the same line of family enterprise, the trajectory of Sigbol, school of professional courses in fashion and sewing, began with the friendship between Elvira Nunari and Carmem Aparecida de Freitas, mother of the current director, Aluizio de Freitas. Elvira created the method “figa the balls and trace his own MOLD” sewing and professionalize women. Over time, Carmem bought the brand and with her husband began to publish the techniques in courses.
The method became popular and, with the growth of sales of publications, the family decided to open a school in 1982, when the patriarch Aluzio developed the first course of sewing and modeling in Vila Mariana, Sao Paulo. Subsequently assuming the direction, Aluzio de Freitas consolidated Sigbol, responsible for training more than 180 thousand students in more than 57 options of courses and programs. Thus, kept alive the legacy started by the friendship between his parents and the Italian.
“A brand was born from a passion for fashion and a commitment to teach and inspire through sewing. From the first days, we value not only the technique, but also the family values that underpin our success”, says Aluizio, who heads the venture once led by his father.
