IAB Brasil, an association that aims to promote the sustainable growth of digital advertising, will bring to the country one of the most important events in the world of marketing: the Global CMO Growth Council, in which the most relevant executives in the area meet to discuss trends, challenges and opportunities. The Global CMO Growth Council was created six years ago by Cannes Lions 'largest advertising and communication event on the planet 'in partnership with ANA, an association that brings together the largest advertisers in the United States.
The first meeting in Brazil will take place in Sao Paulo on September 3, during AdTech & Branding, an event organized by IAB Brazil. The first edition of the Global CMO Growth Council will bring together about 40 renowned professionals in the marketing area in Brazil. The objective of the local initiative is to extend the community created globally in 2018 and ensure that CMOs have a platform for exchanging ideas to set a positive agenda for the growth of the sector.
To reinforce the importance of the first Brazilian edition, Cannes Lions global festival leader Fiorenza Plinio and ANA executive vice president Nick Primola will come to Sao Paulo for the event.“A CMO Council premiere in Brazil shows the importance of the Brazilian market in the global marketing scenario. It is a unique opportunity for local marketing leaders to connect with their international peers, exchange experiences and adapt global strategies to the Brazilian context”, says Cristiane Camargo, CEO of IAB Brazil.
Since 2018, about 50 executives from large groups have participated in global discussions. The debates included CMOs from giants such as P&G, Unilever, AB InBev, Burger King, AT&T, Mars and Mastercard. The goal of IAB Brazil is to bring this conversation to the Brazilian universe. Participants of the local edition of the CMO Growth Council will become part of the group's global discussions, which go beyond the agenda of advertising and marketing, also including issues such as the use of technology and the impacts of the activity on the environment.
