Temu has reached an impressive milestone in the Brazilian e-commerce market, surpassing giants such as Shein, Samsung and AliExpress in less than a year of operation in the country. With more than 151 million hits in February 2025, the company recorded its best monthly performance since its arrival in Brazil in May 2024.
The imported sector as a whole had a remarkable performance in February, registering 320 million accesses 320 million accesses ^ the second best result in its history, falling behind only January of this same year.Temu was the main responsible for this growth, being the only one among the five largest companies in the sector to present an increase in the number of accesses.
Meteoric growth
Temu's success is even more significant considering the difference to its direct competitors. The platform surpassed AliExpress, second in the import ranking, by a margin of approximately 77 million hits. In the overall ranking of the largest e-commerce in Brazil, Temu has already surpassed almost all Asian competitors, positioning itself behind only the Shopee, which ranks second.
While the imported sector prospered, February was a challenging month for Brazilian e-commerce in general. None of the 18 sectors analyzed showed growth compared to January, which had recorded historical records for several segments.
Mobile trend on the rise
Another relevant market data is the consistent growth of visits via application, which increased 11.37% compared to the same period of the previous year, while visits via web fell 0.55%. Currently, more than 78% of all accesses to e-commerce in Brazil are made from mobile devices, confirming a trend that has been driven by the brands themselves.
The case of Temu illustrates how a company can, in record time, gain a prominent position in the competitive Brazilian e-commerce market, challenging established players and changing the dynamics of the import sector.
