After the decision of the Federal Regional Court of the 1st Region, the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) began to block some betting sites.
The determination complies with an instrument aggravation by the Lottery of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Loterj), which had requested the blocking or suspension of sites “that irregularly exploit fixed-odds bets”.
In total, Loterj listed 115 companies currently operating in the state of Rio de Janeiro without the state license to exploit bets.

According to the decision, Anatel should verify the operational legitimacy of the companies listed by Loterj and, in the negative case, take the necessary measures, within the limits of the state of Rio de Janeiro.
