Bemobi and Mastercard announce partnership to bring Click to Pay to the recurring essential services sector

Bemobi, a leader in payment solutions for essential recurring services, announces the launch of the Click to Pay feature in its digital payment solutions. This innovation comes to the market in partnership with Mastercard, a leading payment technology company in Brazil, offering a faster, more secure, and convenient payment experience, allowing users to complete transactions with just a few clicks and without friction. Initially, the feature will accept credit cards, with debit cards to be included in a second phase.

Click to Pay is a solution developed to simplify the checkout process, eliminating the need to manually enter credit, debit, or prepaid card information for each purchase and repetitive user validation processes. The solution enhances security through tokenization technology, which replaces a card’s 16 digits with a unique alternative number known as a “token.” Each token is unique to each device, website, or shopping app, creating additional layers of protection. Thus, adopting Click to Pay helps increase bank approval rates and significantly reduces fraud.

With this new partnership, Bemobi has integrated this technology into its Intelligent Checkout, which is already used by various companies offering essential recurring services, including all major telecom operators in Brazil, such as Vivo, TIM, and Claro, some of the largest utilities companies, like Energisa and Equatorial, education sector companies such as Grupo Salta, and numerous internet providers.

Annually, Bemobi’s payment platform already processes a payment volume (TPV) of over 8.0 billion reais. The potential payment volume (TPV) of Bemobi’s clients exceeds 200 billion reais per year in sectors that handle over 500 billion reais in recurring services in Brazil alone.

By the end of the decade, Mastercard aims to eliminate the need for manual card data entry and the use of temporary or static passwords in online commerce. Click to Pay, which is based on tokenization, is one of the technologies that simplifies consumers’ payment experience and enhances security in digital transactions.
