The Object First company, specialized in immutable backup storage solutions, announced today an impressive 600% growth in subscriptions during the second quarter of 2024, compared to the same period last year. This significant increase highlights the growing demand for cybersecurity protection technologies, especially against ransomware.
The CEO of Object First, David Bennet, expressed his excitement about the company’s performance: “We are seeing strong growth in all areas of our business, including new products, expanding partner and customer network, and robust bookings”. Bennet attributes the success to the company’s unique approach in providing secure and efficient storage solutions, especially designed for integration with Veeam.
The company’s flagship product, the Ootbi (Out-of-the-Box-Immutability), saw a notable increase in sales. The 64TB and 128TB versions experienced growth of 1,580% and 425%, respectively, compared to the previous year. The company also closed several six-figure deals during the quarter.
In June, during VeeamON 2024, Object First announced a capacity expansion, now offering Ootbi devices with up to 192TB in a single node, allowing clusters of up to 768TB of immutable storage. This upgrade aims to meet the demand for increased storage capacity without compromising performance or security.
Object First’s global expansion is also noteworthy, with a 300% increase in the number of business partners in the second quarter of 2024. The company has established new partnerships in North America and Europe, as well as expanded its distributor network in various European countries.
The growth of Object First did not go unnoticed by the industry. The company was included in CRN’s Storage 100 2024 list, and two of its leaders, Meredith Frick and Kelly Wells, were recognized in the CRN 2024 Women of the Channel list.
This exceptional growth reflects organizations’ growing concern for data security and the need for robust backup solutions, especially in a scenario where ransomware threats continue to evolve and intensify.
