Amazon Brazil expands international catalog with 40 million products from the US

Amazon Brazil announced a significant expansion of its International Shopping Store, adding 40 million products sold by Amazon in the United States to its catalog available for Brazilian consumers. With this increase, the local operation, which began in 2019 with 1 million items, now offers over 170 million domestic and international products.

The expansion covers 35 categories, including books, clothing, automotive items, footwear, and home goods, from renowned brands such as Champion, Conair, Ninja, and Carters. One highlight is the inclusion of over 26 million imported physical books, demonstrating the company’s continued commitment to promoting reading.

Daniel Mazini, president of Amazon Brazil, highlighted the benefits for customers: ‘Amazon Prime members will have even more advantages, with free international shipping on eligible items from the International Shopping Store, while non-Prime customers will pay a reduced fee of R$8.90.’ Additionally, prices already include taxes and import fees, following the rules of the Remessa Conforme Program, and customers can choose from various payment methods, such as Pix, boleto, and installment credit card payments, while also earning cashback and points through local partnerships like Livelo and Méliuz.

Products labeled with the ‘International Purchase’ seal are sold and shipped directly by Amazon from the US, offering customers the possibility to track their orders through the website and a return window of up to 30 days.

Mazini emphasized the company’s commitment to offering Brazilians an even broader and more accessible selection: ‘This is one of the largest catalog expansions we’ve made in Brazil. Bringing products from the US at competitive prices with local payment reinforces our commitment to consumers.’

With this initiative, Amazon aims to solidify its position as a leader in online retail in Brazil, combining variety, competitive prices, and convenience for consumers, as a strategic move to strengthen its presence in the Brazilian market and meet growing customer demand for high-quality international products.
