According to Bloomberg’s second survey, the ESG sector is expected to move $53 trillion by 2025. ESG practices are consistently growing in projects and operations of Bermo Valves and Industrial Equipment, which is part of the German group ARI-Armaturen. Both in internal management and in solutions offered to customers, the company adopts strategies that integrate environmental, social, and governance actions.
According to a survey conducted by the innovation consultancy TEC Institute, in partnership with MIT Tech Review Brazil, 75% of companies in Brazil do not have ESG certifications. This scenario positions Bermo as a market reference.
One of the company’s pillars of operation is energy efficiency. According to Bruno Abreu, Sales and Marketing Director of Bermo – ARI Armaturen, the company develops valve and equipment systems that reduce energy consumption, helping customers cut operational costs and reduce their carbon footprint. “The choice of materials also follows this line, prioritizing components with lower environmental impact in all product lifecycle phases, from production to disposal. In addition, we invest regularly in research and innovations to ensure their technologies meet rigorous environmental standards,” he explains.
Internal policies of Bermo comply with ESG
Internally, Bermo implements initiatives such as material recycling, use of renewable energy, and practices to reduce carbon emissions, seeking operational efficiency and reduction of environmental impacts.
Abreu highlights that in the social field, the company promotes fair working conditions and invests in the development of its employees. “In addition, we participate in initiatives aimed at the community, reinforcing our commitment to social responsibility. Regarding the economy, last year, through ESG practices, we saved more than 100,000 gigajoules in energy; over 7,000 fewer tons of CO2 emitted; more than 97,000 m² of water, and saved R$8 million,” he reveals.
ESG Practices are part of supporting customers
ESG practices are also extended to Bermo’s clients. The company offers specialized consulting to guide other organizations in adopting sustainable practices, helping them adapt to the growing market demands. “We constantly seek to maintain a constant dialogue with their stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and communities, which allows us to integrate their expectations into ESG strategies, strengthening partnerships,” points out Abreu.
