There are no walls capable of holding back a big dream. Just ask Frederico Sieck from Rio de Janeiro, who turned his bedroom—that space between the bed and the computer, you know?!—into a hub of innovation and entrepreneurship in the middle of the tech market. It was there that KOUD was born, a startup from Curitiba focused on transforming the chaos of hiring IT professionals into something fast, efficient, and high-quality.
What started in a small space exploded into something much bigger: today, with 6 years of operation, a team of over 30 employees, and revenue surpassing R$8 million. ‘My dream was to be able to work from home, have geographical freedom, and at the same time help companies worldwide find qualified professionals,’ reveals the founder, proving that dreaming big isn’t just allowed—it’s necessary.
Today, KOUD boasts big-name clients and stands out not only for its financial results but also for a work model that prioritizes quality of life and high productivity. With many employees working from home, the company continues to connect talent and opportunities in Brazil and worldwide, showing that an idea born within four walls can go far, far beyond them.
KOUD has already packed its bags (metaphorically speaking) and taken its services to projects in places like the US, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Angola, and Mexico, in addition to Brazil itself. ‘We’ve adapted the entire operational process to the laws of each country. And the bureaucratic part is nothing compared to the challenge of negotiating with such different cultures. It seems easy, but getting the tone right and understanding how each market makes decisions is a real art,’ says Sieck.
According to the entrepreneur, the Recruitment and Selection market for tech professionals is booming worldwide. However, despite this promising and opportunity-rich scenario, it’s not enough to just find technically qualified professionals. It’s essential to identify those who can also adapt to the hiring company’s culture. ‘Because, let’s face it, a professional with even advanced technical knowledge who doesn’t fit the team can be a real problem in operations,’ he jokes.
That’s where KOUD stands out in the market. With a selection process based on a unique methodology, the company not only finds the best talent but also ensures a turnover rate of less than 1% in the first three months of hiring. ‘It’s almost as if the professionals come with a ‘made-to-measure’ stamp for each client,’ concludes the CEO.
