Launched in January 2023 to facilitate the acquisition of Mobil™ lubricants and greases for business customers holding CNPJs (such as mechanical workshops, auto parts stores, and industries), as well as other products in the segment, the digital sales platform Pede Direto is about to celebrate two years of operation and already celebrates the results achieved since its debut. Responsible for intermediating the buying process between the lubricant distributors network and the brand’s corporate customers—previously registered in the distributor’s portfolio and CNPJ holders—the e-commerce recently reached the milestone where about 15% of customers who purchased Mobil™ products in 2024 made at least one purchase via Pede Direto. In addition, the platform has 320,000 accesses and over 38,000 users who navigated Pede Direto just in 2024.
Without affecting the established logistics, the platform was developed in partnership with authorized Mobil™ lubricant distributors focused on establishing a dynamic capable of providing agility, simplicity, and security to purchasing and selling processes. With it, the network of partner distributors continues to be responsible for sales, billing, delivery, exchanges and returns, and support operations according to their region.
Currently, the virtual store is operated by Moove and by distributors of the Brazilian multinational Cosan, which holds the license to produce and distribute Mobil™ lubricants in Brazil and other countries in Latin America.
According to Natalie Diacoumidis, Brand and E-business Coordinator for Mobil™ lubricants, even before completing its second year in operation, the e-commerce platform Pede Direto will present innovations to its stakeholders. Among the most recent updates, the executive highlights the incorporation of the PIX system, expanding payment options that previously focused on credit card and boleto until October.
“The idea of building our platform was born during the pandemic and has been continuously developed since then. With Pede Direto, the specialized representative can expand the reach of their sales since the channel is available 24 hours anywhere. This not only contributes to the sales dynamics of the distributors, but also to greater autonomy by the client companies, which can make estimates—even before receiving the visit from the seller—make online purchases at any time, and track order history, among other benefits. In a segment known to be quite technical like automotive lubrication, we also offer facilitated access to technical data sheets and product details on Pede Direto, which enhances the dynamics of various components of our distribution chain,” emphasizes Natalie.
