Performance of Brazilian e-commerce during Black Friday 2024 is a barometer for Christmas sales

A Magis5, a hub that integrates the main marketplaces operating in Brazil, conducted a survey to measure the performance of Brazilian e-commerce during Black Friday 2024, held on November 29th. The study covered the orders transacted via the platform – a total of 428 thousand, carried out by sellers on marketplaces such as Mercado Livre, Shopee, Magazine Luiza, and Amazon.

The analysis of the 428 thousand orders offers insights considered valuable about consumer behavior and industry trends. This year, sales made by sellers (e-commerce vendors) using Magis5’s automation and management solutions set a new record, with a Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) exceeding R$ 56 million during Black Friday itself. This amount represents a growth of 59.5% compared to the same period in 2023.

In total, 428,197 thousand orders were processed, as highlighted by the company’s CEO, Claudio Dias. The survey also identifies the items that led the sales. Among the highlights are home products, furniture, and decoration, followed by vehicle accessories.

For Magis5’s CEO, Claudio Dias, the results reported by the platform regarding Black Friday 2024 reflect the potential of Brazilian e-commerce and the company itself. “The results of Black Friday 2024 exceeded our expectations and also demonstrate the potential of Magis5 as a partner for sellers on marketplaces,” says Dias. “Magis5 is proud to have contributed to the success of our partners, offering solutions that optimize processes and boost business growth.”
