Increase in cyber attacks stimulates NSFOCUS growth by 110%

A NSFOCUS, global reference in cybersecurity, has just released data on the Brazilian market and countries in Latin America. The numbers show that 2024 will break the revenue record in the last five years for the company, mainly due to national service providers and government sectors in Peru.

NSFOCUS’s focus for 2025 is to concentrate on solutions developed with Artificial Intelligence to achieve the set goal of 35%. According to Raphael Tedesco, business manager at NSFOCUS for Latin America, the solution aimed at providers was one of the major drivers for growth throughout this year.

The company projects an increase of over 50% in Carpet-bombing and SYN ACK attacks, with volumes above 300Gb becoming increasingly common in Brazilian territory. The same applies to other countries in the region, which suffered countless Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks throughout 2024, most often with volumes exceeding 100 Gbps. “In the first semester, we had some offensives exceeding 300Gb, with one episode hitting almost 1Tbps,” according to Tedesco.

The spokesman believes that this scenario will continue in 2025, causing the number of attacks targeting small and medium providers to increase even further. “This type of business is bombarded daily from all over the world. The defense challenge is enormous, and the search for affordable solutions and flexible mitigation packages grows in the same way,” he emphasizes.

Regarding cyber maturity in the region, Mexico, Peru, Chile, and Brazil are leading not only because of new businesses but also due to high investment in technologies, mainly related to Artificial Intelligence.
