In celebration of Women’s Month, ABcripto (Brazilian Cryptoeconomy Association) announces the launch of the initiative “Blockchain without Barriers: The Female Voice in Cryptoeconomy,” a series of online meetings aimed at strengthening women’s presence in the crypto sector. Starting on April 8, the initiative takes place every Tuesday until May 20, from 5 pm to 6 pm, bringing together sector experts to share knowledge and encourage women’s participation in the world of cryptocurrencies and blockchain. Interested parties can register via the Sympla platform at this link.
According to data from the Federal Revenue, as of July 2023, women represent 15% of individuals investing in cryptocurrencies in Brazil — but this scenario is changing. The crypto asset sector is growing exponentially, bringing new opportunities and requiring greater diversity. In this context, ABcripto aims to provide an accessible space for learning, sharing experiences, and networking, strengthening women’s engagement in the cryptoeconomy sector.
“We want to expand the discussion and create more opportunities for women in the crypto sector, which is still predominantly male. With this initiative, we seek to provide knowledge, open doors, and stimulate female participation in this constantly evolving ecosystem,” highlights Renata Mancini, vice president of the ABcripto Board of Directors.
The meetings will be conducted by industry experts and will cover everything from basic concepts of the crypto universe to more advanced topics such as digital security and decentralized finance (DeFi). Over seven modules, topics such as asset protection, investment strategies, purchasing and storing cryptocurrencies will be explored, along with guidance on how to avoid scams and frauds. There will also be a module dedicated to women’s participation in the crypto market, highlighting network building and result empowerment.
ABcripto reaffirms its commitment to disseminating knowledge and encouraging female presence in the crypto universe. The initiative aims to democratize access to essential information about blockchain, digital assets, regulation, and security, empowering more women to explore the opportunities of this growing sector. In addition to educational content, the program provides a networking environment, promoting enriching exchanges between participants and experts.
Participants who attend at least 80% of the program will receive a certificate, adding value to their education and expanding their opportunities in the crypto asset market.
