Total Express highlights Manaus and Belém as strategic hubs for e-commerce in the Amazon

ATotal Express, with over three decades of operation and a reputation for logistic solutions in Brazil, strengthens its presence in the Amazon by transforming Manaus and Belém into high-performance logistic hubs for the growing regional e-commerce market. In Manaus, the proximity to the Industrial Hub and incentives from the Free Trade Zone drive a continuous flow of goods, supported by agile customs processes. Since December 2023, the opening of the air route between Guarulhos and Manaus reduced transport time from 14 to just 3 days, increasing the volume handled in the Amazonian capital fivefold.

In Belém, the port channel dredging works, scheduled for completion by November 2025, will allow larger ships to dock, generating economies of scale and faster cargo movement. The integration between road, waterway, and air modes creates an efficient network to reach isolated municipalities in the region, diversifying transport alternatives based on urgency and delivery profiles.

For the last mile—the final stretch of product delivery to the consumer—the company invests in local distribution centers and a network of PUDO (Pick-Up & Drop-Off) points, as well as lightweight vehicles adapted to urban and riverside streets. An artificial intelligence system optimizes routes in real-time, ensuring transparency and strict SLA compliance even during peak periods like Black Friday.

Aware of the environmental challenges of the Amazon, the company implements advanced climate monitoring and prioritizes the use of less polluting transport modes, balancing operational efficiency and respect for the ecosystem. This sustainable approach minimizes delays due to weather and strengthens Total Express’s commitment to responsible practices.

“Our commitment is to expand end-to-end logistic access in Brazil while respecting regional specificities. The Amazon is a priority, and with these initiatives, we have reduced deadlines, optimized costs, and contributed to local economic development,” highlights Marcus Vinicius Tadim, Commercial Head of Total Express.

In partnership with Suframa, local governments, and associations, the company expands its warehousing infrastructure and provides training for regional teams. Clients also benefit from real-time dashboards and informative webinars, ensuring full visibility of operations and helping brands plan inventories and campaigns based on accurate data.

With over 30 years of experience, Total Express reaffirms its leadership in e-commerce logistics solutions in Brazil, combining innovation, sustainability, and service excellence for companies of all sizes.
