Startup creates “Job Tinder” through AI

In a country where, even with the improvement of indicators, about 6.3 million people are still looking for a job, technological initiatives show they can be a bridge between positive data and life-changing practices. Finding a job through the conventional model is still, for many Brazilians, a slow, frustrating, and inefficient process. Candidates face queues, paperwork, outdated information, and often do not even receive feedback from the opportunities they apply for. On the other hand, public and private companies also waste time and resources on poorly targeted selections, with a high rate of dropouts or incompatibility. This disconnect between job seekers and job providers has been one of the major obstacles to reducing unemployment in a structured and sustainable way.

The Emprega 360 platform digitized the old model of the SINE (National Employment System), which used to operate analogically, with job ads fixed on physical boards. The result was a revolution in regional labor market access and already seeks national expansion. “Simply reducing unemployment in the IBGE chart is not enough. For the data to become a reality in people’s lives, action is needed on the ground. And that’s what Emprega 360 delivers: efficiency, engagement, and results, whether for municipalities or the private sector,” says Gabriel Machado Lopes, partner at Equity Group. With a logic similar to dating apps, the tool brings companies and candidates together based on cross-referenced data and profiles. The technology makes the process faster, reduces hiring time, and exponentially increases effectiveness, without relying on paper posters or long queues at service points.

The results achieved in the city of Mariana, Minas Gerais, since the adoption of Emprega 360 are impressive and draw the attention of governments and companies throughout the country. In just two years, the Minas Gerais city managed to increase the utilization rate of public vacancies from 23% to 58%, representing a growth of 152%. The conversion rate of vacancies into hirings also jumped from 20% to over 65%, solidifying a new efficiency in the local employability process. During this period, 14 thousand hirings were made through the platform, which also connected over 24.2 thousand candidates to real job opportunities. In total, more than 550 companies joined the digital system, which has already exceeded 2.8 million job views, significantly expanding reach and engagement. Furthermore, the time between the job opening and the hiring process was drastically reduced, promoting a much more agile and effective dynamic for all parties involved.

Equity Group’s goal is to bring Emprega 360 to other city halls, states, and private companies, transforming the labor intermediation model into a fairer, faster, and more efficient system. With the platform, the candidate gains visibility and access while the company reduces hiring time and costs, a two-way street with measurable social impact.
